Willie L. Coleman Sr., M.B.A., Instructor

Willie L. Coleman Sr. was born 13 February 1956 in Chattanooga, Tennessee to Reverend Charlie Vester and Willie Mae Coleman. He acknowledged Christ as his Savior at the age of 12 and commences his walk with the Lord. Reverend Coleman answered the call of God to preach the gospel in March of 1986. Pastor Harold J. Carter of Canaan Missionary Baptist Church, of Columbus, Georgia licensed him in February 1987. He was ordained by his mentor in January 1993, by Pastor A.B. Patterson of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Anchorage, Alaska.

He has served as Deacon Board Chairman, Sunday School Teacher, Director of Christian Education, Parish Council President, Men’s Ministry President, Men’s Choir Director, Youth Counselor, Youth Pastor, Church Program Director, Associate Pastor, served as Interim Pastor of the 1230 Gospel Service Fort Drum, NY, and presently serve as Moderator of the Southern District Association of the Paradise Missionary Baptist State Convention of Arizona.

He attended El Paso Community College, Wayland Baptist University, Trinity Bible College and received his Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of Phoenix.

After 22 years of honorable military service to our country, he retired from the United States Army 1 June 2004. He is presently employed as a Human Resources Specialist with the Fort Huachuca Civilian Personnel Advisory Center, Fort Huachuca, Arizona. He is the proud pastor of the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church one of the most motivated and growing churches in the Tucson area where all are welcome.

He and his wife (Shirley) were married July 17, 1977. They have two magnificent children, Felicia who resides in Fort Meyers, Florida and Willie Jr. and his wife Marjorie who reside in Tucson, Arizona. They have four wonderful grandchildren, Benjamin, Malik, Isaiah, and Quintana and one great-grandchild Malachi.
