SHORT-TERM CERTIFICATE PROGRAMS

The short-term 19-credit-hour Certificates have been approved for offering in the Diploma of Theological Studies Bible Institute program. These certificates will provide options for shorter training than the 33-credit-hour Diploma of Theological Studies yet using the same curriculum. These certificates also provide options for Bible Institute students who need a short-term incentive to aim for, or who for one reason or another cannot complete the 33 credit-hour program. Once students have completed the 19-credit Certificate, they will receive a Certificate and can continue on toward the Diploma. We are offering one general theological certificate and five specialized certificates with required courses and electives in each. Each certificate requires a 1-credit-hour Ministry Practicum to provide hands-on practical ministry training experience.
General Theological Studies Certificate- for short-term in general theological, biblical, and practical
ministry studies

The General Theological Studies Certificate is designed for students who do not want a specialized certificate, but rather, a variety of general theological studies. In order to maintain a balance of studies in diverse areas of theology, students are required to have a one-credit Ministry Practicum and at least one (preferably two) course(s) of their choice in each of the three concentrations of theological studies: Biblical Studies (DBIB), Theological/Historical Studies (DTHE), Practical Ministry Studies (DPRM), for a total of 19 credit hours. For a total of 19 credit hours (6 courses + Ministry Practicum), choose at least 1 course (preferably 2) from each area of concentration. See brochure for full listing of courses.
